ST. LOUIS — A shooting early Tuesday morning in north St. Louis left one person dead.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a man in his 20s was shot multiple times shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday at Thekla Avenue and Kingshighway Boulevard, located in the city's Mark Twain neighborhood.
Police said the victim was unconscious and not breathing when they found him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Homicide Division was requested.
According to St. Louis police, the shooting marks the 32nd homicide in the city so far this year.
As of Monday morning, police did not share the identity of the victim, what led up to the shooting or whether any arrests had been made.
