ST. LOUIS — A 68-year-old woman was sitting in her third-floor, north St. Louis apartment on Sunday afternoon when a bullet flew through her window and struck her, St. Louis police said.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, it happened at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday at an apartment building in the 4300 block of Warne Avenue.
The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a bullet hit her in the shoulder, police said.
The investigation was ongoing as of Monday morning.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
