St. Louis hit-and-run leaves pedestrian seriously hurt

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis crash left a pedestrian seriously hurt early Saturday morning, and police said the driver left the scene.

The hit-and-run happened around 4:30 a.m. near Natural Bridge and Belt avenues, a brief statement from police said on social media. That location places the shooting on the border between St. Louis's Mark Twain I-70 Industrial area and the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.

The statement from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said accident reconstruction investigators had been requested at the scene of the crash.
