ST. LOUIS — Police released video Thursday in an effort to help identify two people they say are connected to a fatal shooting from November.

A man was fatally shot on November 12, 2023, at a gas station on the edge of St. Louis' Marine Villa and Gravois Park neighborhoods.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, 43-year-old Christopher Barnhill was shot in the stomach just after 7 p.m. at the MotoMart located near the intersection of Chippewa Street and Jefferson Avenue. He was found on the ground next to an Acura TSX, barely conscious and breathing, police said.

Barnhill was taken to an area hospital, where he later was pronounced dead, police said.

Police shared video from around the time of the shooting that shows two men. The first man, labeled in the video as "subject 1" is seen on surveillance video pacing on a sidewalk. The video points out subject 1's white shoes with a teal or green Nike logo. The man appears to draw a weapon and starts moving quickly.

A third viewpoint shows Barnhill's car parked at the gas station. Subject 1 is seen running toward the car and then leaning into the passenger window. He tries to open the passenger car door but it was locked.

The video continues with the viewpoint of the gas station parking lot. Another man is seen in the video, labeled as "subject 2." This man is wearing a hat, a jacket and pants, white shoes and a large watch. Police did not say how this man may be related to the crime.
