ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police released photos Wednesday of two people suspected in a shooting that injured a 70-year-old Vietnam War veteran and a teenager last week.
"I am in a lot of pain. I can barely get around. They need to stop the gun violence in St. Louis," Charles Phillips told 5 On Your Side Tuesday.
The 70-year-old said he was sitting in his car and waiting on a friend after 3 p.m. Nov. 15 near the 3000 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive when gunfire rang out and people began running.
"I was ducking down in my car. Ducking and praying that I don't die or I don't get hit," Phillips said.
A bullet went through his driver's side door and struck him in the leg. A 17-year-old boy was also found shot by responding officers and taken to the hospital.
Police on Wednesday shared surveillance photos that show two people entering a convenience store and later firing guns outside.
