ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A student in the Riverview Gardens School District was robbed at gunpoint while waiting for the school bus Wednesday morning, St. Louis County police said.
According to a spokeswoman for the department, the student, a 17-year-old boy, was waiting on the 2300 block of Hudson Drive when he was robbed at gunpoint.
The school district said an armed person approached the boy and demanded his belongings. The suspect left.
No one was injured. Police were investigating.
The school's student support team met with students who were at the bus stop.
The school district sent a notice to parents and staff about the incident and commended the student for remaining calm and handling the situation "responsibly."
