ST. LOUIS — Police are looking for a man who police say was involved in two incidents in downtown St. Louis Sunday morning.
The first victim was in a car at the intersection of 10th Street and Clark Avenue when he honked his horn at a vehicle that was going straight through a red light in a right-turn lane. The suspect got out of the 2023 black GMC Sierra he was driving, pulled the victim out of his car and punched him several times, police say.
The suspect fled the area.
Les Sterman with Citizens for a Greater Downtown St. Louis shared photos of what he said was this assault on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. The photos show two men out of a work truck with a company logo on it. The men are seen near another man who appears to be shielding himself.
Police believe the suspect also fired gunshots at another car near Tucker Boulevard and St. Charles Street. Police say the second victim saw the same suspect run a red light at Washington Avenue and Broadway. The victim followed the suspect in his car to write down his license plate. Police say the suspect showed a gun and asked the victim if there was a problem.
The suspect followed the victim and struck his vehicle at one point, police said. The victim heard gunshots that he believed to be coming from the suspect's truck. The second victim was not injured.
The incident started at about 8:05 a.m.
No one had been charged in the incident as of Tuesday afternoon.
