ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The North County Police Cooperative announced Friday that it has taken a second person into custody in connection with the shooting death of one of its officers, Officer Michael Langsdorf, on Sunday.
Investigators from the cooperative and St. Ann Police Department identified the person as a person of interest. No charges have yet been filed against the person, who has not been identified.
The St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's Office is reviewing how the person may have been involved in previous crimes that led to the death of Officer Langsdorf.
Bonette Meeks, the man accused of shooting and killing Officer Langsdorf, remains in jail at the St. Louis County Justice Center with no chance for bond.
