ST. LOUIS — One person died early Sunday after being shot in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the deadly shooting happened at about 1:35 a.m. Sunday in the 4500 block of Blair Avenue in the city's College Hill neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found a crime scene but not a victim.
Minutes later, police received a call about a victim who was unconscious and not breathing when he arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
On Tuesday, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Larrion Beckton, of Florissant.
The Homicide Division was requested.
