ST. LOUIS — Early Thursday morning, a woman and a teenage boy were shot north of downtown St. Louis.
The shooting happened at about 1:15 a.m. Police said victims were in a car at North 10th and O’Fallon streets in the Columbus Square neighborhood when a suspect opened fire.
Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene, police said.
The victims, a 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy, drove to a gas station at North 9th and O’Fallon streets to seek help.
The woman was shot in her right arm, and the boy was shot in his right arm and left leg, police said. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment, where they were both listed as having "stable" vital signs.
The suspect remained at large and investigation was ongoing as of Thursday morning. Police have not yet indicated how the suspect knew the victims.

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis has the Neighborhood Healing Network, which serves people who have experienced crime, violence or been the victim of an incident that caused trauma.
