Man shot, killed while watching fireworks in north St. Louis County

The deadly shooting happened at a heavily attended fireworks gathering in north St. Louis County.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man was shot and killed Thursday night at a heavily attended Fourth of July fireworks gathering in north St. Louis County.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers with the North County Precinct responded to the shooting at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday in the 10200 block of Valley Drive in unincorporated Glasgow Village.

Gregory Mills,30, with an apparent gunshot wound was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, police said.

The investigation was ongoing as of Friday morning, and police had not yet shared the identity of the victim or what led up to the shooting.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
