ST. LOUIS — A shooting early Thursday morning in south St. Louis left one person dead.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded at about midnight to a shooting in the 5400 block of Gravois Avenue, located in St. Louis' Bevo Mill neighborhood.
Police said a man died as a result of the shooting. As of Thursday morning, police had not yet shared his identity.
The Homicide Division assumed the ongoing investigation.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
