ST. LOUIS — An 18-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed Wednesday night in south St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened at about 10 p.m. inside a resident in the 3400 block of California Avenue, between Cherokee and Potomac streets.
At the scene, police said the man was found unconscious and not breathing with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
The Homicide Division assumed the ongoing investigation.
As of Thursday morning, police had not shared the identity of the victim or what led up to the shooting.
