ST. LOUIS — A man was shot several times Saturday night in St. Louis' Peabody Darst Webbe neighborhood south of downtown, police said.
Officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the shooting shortly after 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Peabody Court.
Officers found a 33-year-old man lying on the ground with numerous gunshot wounds to his chest, stomach and legs.
Paramedics transported the man a St. Louis hospital, where he was immediately taken into surgery. He was listed in critical condition, police said.
Police did not release any information about suspects or what might have led up to the shooting.
