ST. LOUIS — A shooting late Monday night in north St. Louis left a man dead.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded at about 11:40 p.m. Monday to the deadly shooting near the intersection of Cora and Evans avenues in the city's Lewis Place neighborhood.
The Homicide Division assumed the ongoing investigation, police said.
As of Tuesday morning, police had not shared the victim's identity, what led up to the shooting or whether any arrests had been made.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
