ST. LOUIS — A man was shot and killed early Thursday morning in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers found a man in the street at about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mimika and Gladys avenues, located in the city's North Pointe neighborhood. He had been shot in the head.
EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was later identified as 39-year-old Jeremy West of Florissant.
The Homicide Division was requested, police said.
Investigation was ongoing.
As of Friday, police had not shared whether any arrests had been made or what led up to the deadly shooting.
