ST. LOUIS — A man died Monday afternoon after being shot in north St. Louis.
The shooting happened at about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Kossuth and North Newstead avenues in the Penrose neighborhood, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said one man was found shot with multiple puncture wounds. He was unconscious and not breathing when officers arrived and died shortly after. Police identified him as 26-year-old Timothy McCuller-Lawson.
St. Louis police's Homicide Division was requested to investigate the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
As of Tuesday morning, police had not said what led up to the shooting.
