Man shot, killed Wednesday night in south St. Louis

It happened at about 11:15 p.m. on Gravois Avenue, police said.

ST. LOUIS — One person was killed late Wednesday night after being shot in south St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday to the shooting in the 3600 block of Gravois Avenue, located in the city's Gravois Park neighborhood.

A man died as a result of the shooting, police said. The victim was identified Saturday as 21-year-old Marlando Perry.

At the scene, police were seen investigating along Gravois Avenue near the White Castle.

The Homicide Division assumed the ongoing investigation.

As of Thursday morning, police had not shared the age or identity of the victim, what led up to the shooting or whether any arrests had been made.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
