1 dead, 2 injured in Sunday night shooting near Dome at America's Center

The shooting happened at about 10 p.m. Sunday in the city's Columbus Square neighborhood.

ST. LOUIS — One person was killed and at least two others were injured in a shooting Sunday night in St. Louis' Columbus Square neighborhood.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded at about 10 p.m. to a shooting in the 700 block of Carr Street, right across from the Dome at America's Center. There, police found a man dead.

Later, police said at least two additional people had been shot in connection with the incident. A man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, and a woman was grazed by a bullet.

The Homicide Division assumed the ongoing investigation, police said.

As of Monday morning, police had not yet shared the identity of the deceased victim or what led up to the shooting.

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis has the Neighborhood Healing Network, which serves people who have experienced crime, violence or been the victim of an incident that caused trauma.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
