ST. LOUIS — A 19-year-old injured early Thursday morning when he was struck by stray gunfire during a house party in St. Louis' Vandeventer neighborhood.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened at about 2:45 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 4200 block of West Finney Avenue. Officers arrived to find the victim conscious and breathing with gunshot wounds to his thigh and back.
SLMPD's Real Time Crime Center initially said the man was hit by the gunfire that came from outside, but now say the gunfire came from inside the house. In an incident summary published later on Thursday, the man was at a house party when "a group of subjects began arguing and gunshots rang out."
He was listed in critical condition with stable vital signs, according to the incident summary.
