ST. LOUIS -- An officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has been arrested after investigators seized heroin, guns and a large amount of cash.

Natalie Williams, 34, worked with the police department for eight years. She had been suspended from the department on February 6th for conduct unbecoming of a police officer. At that time, an internal affairs investigation was launched.

Tuesday, the police department, the City of St. Louis and the FBI executed a search warrant at a home in the 4500 block of Page. That's when they found the drugs, guns and cash.

"Police officers are not above the law and when they are involved in criminal activity, we will pursue them vigorously until justice is served," said Police Commissioner Sam Dotson.

Williams has been charged with two counts of possession of a weapon and a felony controlled substance, and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
