ST. LOUIS — A Southwest Airlines employee working at St. Louis Lambert International Airport has been charged with stealing $79,000 worth of travel vouchers.

In court documents, airport police said Brooklyn Jones stole the vouchers between Aug. 1 and Sept. 28, 2023. Jones' year of birth is listed as 2003, but his age is not mentioned.

Airport police said after Southwest did their own internal investigation, they found Jones was printing flight vouchers using the names of past passengers and redeeming the vouchers for himself.

Police said Jones willingly gave up the vouchers he had to a Southwest investigator, showing officers his locker where they found 119 travel vouchers worth $36,300.

Police said Jones admitted to selling the vouchers for money on four separate occasions, and that he printed $79,000 worth of travel vouchers.

Jones has entered a not-guilty plea. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 16.
