ST. LOUIS — A St. Ann man was struck by two cars not far from his home.
Now, investigators want to talk to one of those drivers who left the scene.
Witnesses told investigators the deadly hit and run happened shortly after nine Tuesday night.
Missouri State Highway Patrol says 33-year-old Bryan Maide-Shead tried to cross St. Charles Rock Road near Dehart Lane when a Ford F-350 hit him.
Investigators say the 20-year -old driver, who wasn't hurt, stayed at the scene in Breckenridge Hills in north St. Louis County.
Witnesses say moments later, a dark-colored vehicle then hit the man while he was lying in the road.
Investigators say that driver got out of the car, looked around and then took off.
The victim died at the scene just a few blocks away from his home.
"I know a lot of people do speed down St. Charles Rock Road," said Laron Anderson.
Anderson lives in the area.
"That's sad to hear you're crossing the street and you lose your life. I mean you get hit, not by one, but by two cars. That's terrible," said Laron Anderson.
Investigators do not know if the second driver was a man or a woman.
Right now, they say they just want to talk to the person.
They're asking anyone with information to call Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C at (636) 300-2800.
In the meantime, investigators will check with nearby businesses for possible surveillance video of the hit and run.
