ST CHARLES, Mo. — A man is facing charges Thursday after he allegedly threatened to shoot up the St. Charles courthouse, the same building where the city police department is located, if his felony charges weren't removed from his record.

Timothy Sarkissian was charged with one first-degree count of making a terroristic threat and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was arrested and booked Thursday in Platte County.

According to a probable cause statement from the St. Charles Police Department, Sarkissian called the St. Charles Municipal Courts building located at 1781 Zumbehl Road on Thursday. Police said he told the clerk who answered that he had felony charges on his record and if the courts did not fix it by 5 p.m., then he'd "come and shoot up the courthouse, put a bullet in somebody's head, and drop them like a dog."

Police used a cell phone ping to find Sarkissian's location while the courthouse was safely secured.

Investigators learned of another phone number in Sarkissian's possession, which pinged in Wright City, Missouri, about 20 minutes from the St. Charles court building.

Sarkissian also made unspecified comments about a sitting judge at the courthouse during the call, according to the probable cause statement.

At the time the threat was made, more than 10 people were working inside the building.

Sarkissian's bond was set at $25,000. If bond is posted, a judge ordered that he must not enter St. Charles County except to address his active case.
