ST. LOUIS — A 17-year-old boy was shot early Wednesday morning in the Carr Square neighborhood of downtown St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened at 3:50 a.m. in the 1400 block of North 16th Street.
Police said a teen boy suffered a gunshot would to his right hip. He was conscious and breathing when taken to a local hospital via ambulance.
The injured teen told police he was in the backyard with several others when he heard a gunshot and felt pain in his side.
No other information was available about the victim or the shooting as of Wednesday morning.
