Man found guilty of killing coworker after fight at Schnucks warehouse

Prosecutors said the man shot his coworker several times and killed him in the parking lot of a warehouse near Lambert Airport.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A jury on Wednesday found 34-year-old Antonio Crutchfield guilty of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm in the deadly shooting of his coworker following an argument back in 2021.

According to the St. Louis County prosecutors, Crutchfield shot 27-year-old Norman Green several times and killed him on July 10, 2021, in the parking lot of the Schnucks Distribution Center in Kinloch, where they worked together for Penske Logistic.

Before Green died from his injuries, he was able to identify Crutchfield as the shooter, prosecutors said.

Crutchfield, a convicted felon at the time, was not allowed to possess a firearm, prosecutors said.

Antonio Crutchfield, 34, was convicted of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

First-degree murder has a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

"A person should be able to earn a living without threat or fear of violence, let alone murder," St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell said in a statement following the verdict. "I hope Mr. Green's loved ones take some comfort in knowing we held his murderer accountable for the rest of his life."
