ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis County man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges in connection to an armed drug robbery back in April.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, 19-year-old Walter Moore was indicted earlier this month for allegedly using a Glock with a switch to rob someone who was selling drugs on April 25. Moore pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of being a felon in the possession of a firearm, possession of a machine gun, robbery and possession of a machine gun in furtherance of a crime of violence, according to the release.
If convicted, Moore faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years for possession of a machine gun in furtherance of a crime of violence, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The St. Louis County Police Department and the FBI investigated the case as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program that brings law enforcement and communities together to reduce violence crime and gun violence, according to the release.
