ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — All suspects are in custody Wednesday afternoon after a police pursuit involving federal officers ended with a crash on a St. Louis County interstate.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the DEA and Homeland Security officers started the pursuit, which ended at Interstate 44 and Interstate 270 in Fenton. Several suspects were taken into custody, and Sunset Hills police said they were searching for one remaining suspect who was possibly armed in the wooded area of 13000 Maple Drive, in the Tapawingo community.
Shortly before 4 p.m., police said in an update the final suspect had been arrested by Sunset Hills officers.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it was handling the crash report but did not have further information on the circumstances of the pursuit.
It was unclear if there were any injuries.
Erin Bultje, Midwest regional deputy communications chief for the Department of Homeland Security, said in a statement that the department was unable to provide information "due to the sensitive nature of the investigation."
"We want to assure the public that there is no immediate threat to safety," Bultje said.
