ST. LOUIS — Police found a man in a crashed car suffering from a gunshot wound Saturday.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a call about a one-car accident on the 1200 block of South 7th Street and Chouteau Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.
When police arrived on the scene, they saw that the car had crashed into a light pole, according to the police statement.
EMS assessed the victim in the car. An unidentified man who looked to be in his 40s was unconscious and had a gunshot wound in his head.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he died. Police have classified this as a homicide and have not provided any more information.
