Homicide investigation underway after 2 found dead inside St. Louis home

Both victims suffered blunt-force trauma to the back of their heads.

ST. LOUIS — Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after two people were found dead on the city's north side Tuesday afternoon. 

Police said shortly before 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call for a "sudden death" at a home in the 5200 block of Paulian Place, located in the city's Kingsway West neighborhood. 

Officers arrived and found two victims, 55-year-old Paul Bubbard and 47-year-old Heather Reynolds, with blunt-force trauma to the back of their heads. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The department's Homicide Division assumed the ongoing investigation.
