ST. LOUIS — A driver was carjacked at a St. Louis QuikTrip Friday night after an armed suspect put an AR-style rifle to his back. The victim was not hurt.
St. Louis police said the carjacking happened at 10:15 p.m. Friday at the QuikTrip located at 3291 South Kingshighway Blvd.
Officers responded to a call for a carjacking at the gas station, where the victim, a 29-year-old man, told police he had left his vehicle, a Chrysler 300, running while he put air into his tires.
Suddenly, the suspect appeared and put an AR-style rifle into the victim’s back, police said.
The suspect then got into the victim’s vehicle and drove away, headed north on South Kingshighway Boulevard.
The investigation is ongoing.
