Police originally responded to the shooting near the intersection of Northgate Drive and Cameron Road where they found a man with gunshot wounds. The man was then taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Hill and others reportedly shot the victim, according to a probable cause statement. The victim allegedly told police that he saw the suspect use a black handgun with an extended magazine and a rubber band on the grip. Police later found several bullet cartridges at the scene matching the caliber of the handgun found in the home where Hill was.

Dozens of officers were at the scene and surrounded a nearby house where the apparent shooting suspect was believed to have barricaded himself inside. SWAT team members were also at the scene.

At about 10:30 p.m., the Tactical Operations Unit cleared the vacant home and did not find any suspects, county police said. They also spoke with all occupants at the house next door in an attempt to locate any suspects.
