Suspect in Dutchtown homicide identified, charged with murder

A St. Louis man was charged with murder in the February killing of 40-year-old Shanchez Jordan.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has issued charges for the suspect accused of shooting and killing another man back in February

On May 3, 32-year-old Anton Moore was arrested on an unrelated crime and charged with two counts of first-degree domestic assault, first-degree assault, three counts of armed criminal action, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

During his arrest, Moore was identified as a suspect in the Feb. 3 homicide that took place on the 3300 block of Gasconade Street.

On Wednesday, the Circuit Attorney's Office issued charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action against Moore for the death of 40-year-old Shanchez Jordan.

Moore was in custody without bond.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
