ST. LOUIS — A 19-year-old died of his injuries after being shot near Delmar Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
St. Louis police said they were called to the intersection of Enright and Clara avenues for a report of a shooting at about 1 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the 19-year-old was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition. In an evening update, police said he had died of his injuries and a homicide investigation was underway.
