ST. LOUIS — A 15-year-old was shot and wounded early Friday morning in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the teenage boy was found shot in the groin just before 2 a.m. Friday in the 4700 block of Penrose Street, located in St. Louis' Penrose neighborhood.
Police said the teen was conscious and breathing.
“We’re still trying to determine where the shooting happened,” Lt. Terrell Robinson said. “We talked to neighbors in the area, and no one reports hearing any gunshots.”
As of Friday morning, no details were available about what led up to the shooting.
