ST. LOUIS — A teenage boy was rushed to an area hospital after he was shot in the chest Tuesday afternoon in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded just after 3 p.m. to the shooting on the 5800 block of Kennerly Avenue, located in the city's Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood, and found a 16-year-old boy suffering a gunshot wound to his chest.
His 16-year-old brother, who was there during the shooting but uninjured, told police he and his brother were walking westbound on Kennerly when a "blacked-out" Audi driving eastbound started shooting at them and drove off.
The injured teen was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The investigation was ongoing as of Wednesday.
