Teen dead in Cahokia Heights: Police, Major Case Squad investigate

Police are investigating the death of 17-year-old Terrance D. Booker who died in late June.

CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. — A teen was killed after succumbing to wounds from bullet-related injuries in Cahokia Heights, Illinois on Saturday, June 29. 

Around 5 a.m. Cahokia Heights Police Department responded to a call that led them to 17-year-old Terrance D. Booker. They found Booker lying in a residential yard at the 1300 block of Williams Street in Cahokia Heights. 

Police said they saw multiple bullet-related wounds on Booker's body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis will assist the Cahokia police as they investigate this crime. Sergeant Justin Biggs of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department will be the deputy commander. 

According to the Major Case Squad, there will be 14 investigators working on this case. 

Police believe that 20-year-old Lamondre Wilson is a person of interest in this homicide. If you have any information about his whereabouts the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis asks you contact them at 618-825-2681.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged home from the emergency department after being shot.
