ST. LOUIS — A man was found dead in St. Louis' Dutchtown neighborhood in January. On Friday, police announced that a third man was arrested in connection with the victim's death.
Tyrelle Henley, 39, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, third-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
Rion Robinson's body was found near the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Walsh Street on Jan. 19. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors and local business owners said Robinson used to sleep on the doorstep of the Grand Medical Building. People in the community said he was a familiar face on South Grand Boulevard.
A photo of Robinson's body was widely shared on Facebook the morning he was found. The woman who posted the photo also shared a plea for the City of St. Louis to "do better for the unhoused." Temperatures were below freezing.
St. Louis police later launched a homicide investigation when gunshots were found on Robinson's body.
Police arrested 47-year-old Anthony Hill and 48-year-old Calvin Anderson earlier in February. Hill was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. Anderson was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, tampering with evidence and third-degree assault.
