LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – A jury has found a 43-year-old Troy, Mo. man guilty for the 2011 stabbing death of his wife.
A jury found Russell Faria guilty of first-degree murder and felony armed criminal action.
Elizabeth "Betsy" Faria was found in her home in the 100 block of Sumac Drive December 27, 2011 with multiple stab wounds. Faria was arrested a few days later for the crime.
According to court documents, Elizabeth Faria was stabbed 55 times with a knife.
Sentencing is set for December 23.
