Victim ID'd in St. Charles homicide, search for vehicle continues

A person of interest is being questioned in the death of a man in St. Charles.

The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad confirmed Sunday morning that the victim has been identified as Brady David Wood. He was 31 years old from O’Fallon, Missouri.

Wood was found at about 7:30 p.m. Friday night in the 800 block of N. 2nd Street by someone walking in the area. Wood was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Major Case Squad is not releasing how Wood died at this time.

While a person of interest is being questioned, investigators still need the public’s help in finding Wood’s car.

It’s described as a white 2001 Pontiac Bonneville. It does not have license plates. The Major Case Squad released surveillance photos of the car. A closeup showed a small cross on the back of the car.
