Woman shot while driving on North Hanley in St. Louis County Tuesday morning

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A woman was shot and injured while driving on North Hanley Road early Tuesday morning, St. Louis County police said.

According to a police department spokeswoman, the woman called 911 at about 4:15 a.m. to say she was shot while driving on North Hanley near Link Avenue.

Police said their investigation found the woman was driving in the area when someone shot at her from outside her car. They said the woman drove herself to the hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
