ST. LOUIS -- A woman found dead in the Mississippi River has been identified.
49-year-old Sandra Meraz-Anaya's body was found floating in the river on the night of April 30 by people working on a nearby boat. She was located in a portion of the river near the 3800 block of S. First Street.
The woman's death has been classified a homicide and the investigation is ongoing.
