NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Quarterback Drew Lock was selected by the Denver Broncos 42nd overall in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft on Friday.
Lock was passed over on Thursday, dashing many fans' predictions that he would be a first-round draft choice. The Broncos selected him after trading with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 52nd, 125th and 182nd-overall picks.
During his four years at the University of Missouri, Lock threw for 12,193 yards with 99 touchdowns, and he led the nation as a junior with 44 touchdown passes.
The Broncos have also picked up Kansas State offensive lineman Dalton Risner and Iowa Hawkeyes tight end Noah Fant.
