After being open for more than 50 years, the Regency Beauty Institute permanently closed all 79 campuses Wednesday, the school announced on their website.
The post on the school's website said the closure was due to a lack of cash, which the school blamed on declining numbers of cosmetology students, a negative characterization of for-profit education by regulators and an inability to get continued financing.
