ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Public Schools hosted a Fall Technology Experience event Nov. 16 at its district headquarters.
SLPS technology services director Samona Walker told 5 On Your Side more than 400 students and their parents signed up for the event. It is designed to showcase what students are learning and have access to in St. Louis Public Schools.
Walker outlined just some of the programs students are getting familiar with.
“This event is to show showcase the technology that the students are using inside of our schools,” said Walker. “We have zSpace activities, we have Minecraft activities, we have GarageBand working with Dash and Dot, the robotics and we have the robotics team from Gateway STEM.”
Students also got the chance to learn about resume building, create a podcast and take virtual field trips.
While Saturday was the first Fall Technology Experience, SLPS administrators said they plan on hosting more experiences in the future.
