ST. LOUIS — The Coalition with STL Kids, a community advocacy group fighting for equitable and quality education for every child in St. Louis, will host a virtual forum Monday night to allow parents to engage with and evaluate the candidates up for positions on the St. Louis Board of Education in April.
According to the St. Louis Public Schools website, three members have terms expiring in April: President Toni Cousins, Vice President Matt Davis and Member Natalie Vowell. Their positions will appear before voters on the April 8 election.
It's the first school board election since widespread issues resulting from the 2024-25 emergency response transportation plan, State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick launching a district audit and the St. Louis Board of Education voting to terminate Superintendent Keisha Scarlett.
Here's how you can tune in to the virtual forum, which begins at 6 p.m. Monday:
- Stream the event on the Coalition with STL Kids' social media pages.
- Join the virtual forum on Zoom.
