ST. LOUIS — School officials at St. Louis Community College say a longtime employee embezzled more than $5 million.
The state money was supposed to be used for a job-training program.
The theft went undetected for at least a decade.
The college filed a lawsuit against Donald Robison and asked a judge to freeze all bank accounts where Robison may have deposited the money.
"We found that the employee, his name is Don Robinson, had created a fictitious training company and was diverting training funds from the state into this company and never performed any services," said St. Louis Community College Chancellor Jeff Pittman.
He said it was going on since 2008.
The college has suspended Donald Robison, without pay.
