ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Keith Marty, who has been superintendent of the Parkway School District for 14 years, will retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year, he announced Wednesday.

Marty's last day with the district will be June 30, 2025. The administrator, who has spent nearly 49 years in public education, became Parkway’s 10th superintendent on July 1, 2011, according to a Wednesday press release. The district's board of education will in the coming weeks determine a time line for selecting the next superintendent, officials said in the release.

Marty joined Parkway after having been superintendent of Menomonee Falls School District in suburban Milwaukee for 10 years. Menomonee Falls was one of four districts in Wisconsin where he previously worked as a teacher, high school principal, curriculum director, assistant superintendent and superintendent.

He holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, a master's degree in administrative leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a doctorate in education from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
