ST. LOUIS — It’s one of the highlights of the summer: the Urban Expo Back-to-School & Community Empowerment Festival happens Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20 at America’s Center, 701 Convention Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63101.

This year’s celebration includes free backpacks and school supplies, a career fair and resources for families.
More than 350 partners from nonprofit and civic organizations will be on hand, including SLPS officials who will be available to assist with transportation options, school enrollment, and any other related questions.
Get information on housing, employment, public safety, and education, in addition to offering health screenings, utility assistance, and financial literacy workshops.
Look for live performances from gospel icon Le’Andria Johnson and hip hop legends Sugar Hill Gang.

Volunteers are still needed. Find out more here. Simply park your vehicles in the designated lot or garage and obtain a parking ticket. To secure your hassle-free exit without any charges, you will need to visit the Parking Pass booth at the Expo. There, you will receive a color-coded pass for that specific day, which you will present along with your parking ticket.

Eligible Parkers:
Anyone attending the Career/Hiring Fair, including ULSTL staff, volunteers, hiring companies, and participants: for those individuals in need of parking, the expo kindly requests that you utilize this designated location, as it is the only free parking option available for the entire day.
