WENTZVILLE, Mo. — The Wentzville School District has announced its interim superintendent for the 2024-25 school year.
Brian Bishop has been appointed as the interim superintendent and will begin on July 1. He is currently the deputy superintendent of staff and operations in the school district. He has served as the co-interim superintendent alongside Dr. Jeri LaBrot since April 2024.
He has also worked as a principal at Fort Zumwalt East High School, assistant principal at the high school and middle school levels at the Fort Zumwalt School District and as a social studies teacher and coach at Fort Zumwalt West High School.
He graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He also holds an Education Specialist degree and a Master of Science in educational administration from Missouri Baptist University.
Bishop shared the following statement in the WSD's press release:

Together, we can collaboratively make a difference in the lives of our students, staff, and the entire Wentzville community."
The appointment comes after former District Superintendent Danielle Tormala announced she would go on sabbatical and retire earlier this year.
Prior to Bishop's appointment, the superintendent's responsibilities had been split between the two deputy superintendents.
